About the Role

Peraton is seeking a CSOC Manager to lead a 24x7x365 Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) team. In this role, you will provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for a team of 20-25 cybersecurity analysts and Splunk SMEs. You will drive security monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis using tools such as SIEM, EDR, and SOAR to protect corporate networks from nation-state attacks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for daily CSOC operations.
• Manage CSOC shift handovers, on-call rotations, and resource allocation.
• Oversee performance KPIs and drive service improvement initiatives.
• Manage and maintain CSOC dashboards, reports, and correlation rules in Splunk and other security tools.
• Review and approve incident reports, threat assessments, and cybersecurity policies.
• Coordinate investigations of security alerts and incident responses involving nation-state threats.

Additional Responsibilities

• Approve data source reports and manage anomaly investigations.
• Oversee change requests for cybersecurity and network infrastructure.
• Guide preliminary incident response, event analysis, and threat intelligence efforts.
• Coordinate CSOC reporting with IT, Legal, HR, and other departments ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required: U.S. Citizenship, ability to obtain/maintain DOE L Level or DOE Secret clearance, degree in computer science or related field, 12 years of experience in cybersecurity roles with management responsibilities, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication. Desired certifications include CISSP, CISM, SSCP, and more.

Salary & Benefits

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000 with eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and company paid holidays.
