About The Role: Business Systems Analyst
Peraton is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within Peraton's Defense Mission and Health Solutions Sector, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) team. This role is integral to an Agile team dedicated to enhancing the Medicare DME claims processing system, following SAFe agile/scrum practices. You will be responsible for creating technical design deliverables, developing and enhancing programs, building unit test plans, test cases, and executing tests. This position requires a motivated individual with healthcare and Medicare claims processing experience, providing critical applications development and maintenance support to the Medicare DME system.
This role is based out of Windsor Mill, MD, and offers flexibility, allowing for fully remote, hybrid, or onsite work arrangements depending on the candidate's location.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and/or modify procedures to solve technical problems.
- Create detailed specifications/requirements for program changes.
- Work with technical team members to build requirements into program changes.
- Create and execute detailed Testing Plans.
- Provide expertise in the formulation of systems scope and objectives relative to the business plan and industry requirements.
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
- Work independently or as a member of a project/Agile team responsible for providing technical guidance related to the business implications of the application of various systems.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years with BA/BS; 3 years with MA/MS.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical and analytical requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication (written & oral) and collaboration skills, comfortable interacting with engineers and other Business Systems Analysts.
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare IT and understanding of regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
- Experience with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) or Federal Healthcare Programs.
- Experience and/or knowledge of CMS processes and standards.
- Experience with DME, Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, or Medicare Common Working File (CWF) specific processing systems.
