Program Overview & Role
The Business Analyst at Peraton is a mid-level role responsible for gathering business requirements, analyzing data to identify trends, and mapping existing processes to drive improvements. The role involves creating detailed specifications and models, communicating findings to stakeholders, and mentoring entry-level analysts. Strong skills in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and agile methodologies are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit and document business needs from stakeholders.
- Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and KPIs.
- Map existing business processes and propose improvements.
- Translate requirements into functional specifications and models.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Assist with project planning and monitor progress.
- Mentor entry-level analysts and junior team members.
Qualifications
Minimum 2-year BA/BS with experience in agile support environments and the ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance. Proven experience as a Business Analyst with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and familiarity with process modeling tools and data warehousing. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills are required. Experience working in Military Health environments is a plus.
Additional Details
This is a remote role with primary work locations also in Tacoma, WA; Aurora, CO; San Antonio, TX; and Falls Church, VA. The target salary range is $51,000 - $82,000, with potential eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and bonus compensation. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and more.
