Program Overview
RDG (Risk Decision Group) provides nationwide background investigations compliant with national government standards to include support of continuous vetting for over 110 government agencies.
About The Role
Peraton is seeking a full-time Applications Programming Associate to support critical missions within our Risk Decision Group (RDG). This role is ideal for an entry level developer with experience in full-stack development and data engineering working in an Agile development environment. You will design, develop, and optimize web and database solutions, ETL pipelines, and reporting frameworks that support mission-critical applications. This position is 100% remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop applications based on specifications provided by software developers or stakeholders.
- Create, modify, and test code, forms, and scripts to support application functionality.
- Conduct testing and trial runs to validate accuracy and performance of applications.
- Maintain, update, and improve existing programs to increase efficiency and adapt to new requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Document data lineage, processes, and technical specifications to ensure transparency and compliance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop advanced T-SQL queries, including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
- Analyze, review, and enhance programs using workflow charts, diagrams, and logical design techniques.
- Develop and support reporting solutions using SSRS, including dataset design.
- Develop solutions for data storage, retrieval, and system integration.
- Partner with technical and business teams to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.
- Support systems analysis and programming efforts to maintain and control system software.
- Assist in analyzing user needs and designing effective software solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- 1+ years relevant work experience with BS/BA
- Experience supporting and developing custom web-based applications
- 1+ years of experience Angular
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience working with SQL Server
- 1+ years of experience using Bootstrap UI, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Website design
- Experience in Cloud development
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps for workload planning and management
- Excellent technical troubleshooting, code debugging and problem-solving skills for custom built applications and databases
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact with others
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects/assignments simultaneously
- Proven leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work under general supervision in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities
Details
Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
