As a Gate Checker at PepsiCo, you will be responsible for accurately counting truck inventory, maintaining records of finished goods, and managing the intake and storage of products. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Count truck inventory and maintain accurate records of finished goods.
  • Receive finished goods into inventory and manage appropriate documentation.
  • Unload transport trucks and store delivered products in designated warehouse spaces.
  • Load empty pallets and plastic storage flats for return to manufacturing.
  • Load pre-made multi-product pallets onto local delivery trucks.
  • Perform primary shipping/receiving, inventory, and housekeeping duties.
  • Pass a Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable).
  • Climb onto trailers and route trucks, reaching and pushing cases weighing 20-45 pounds.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Count floor and truck inventories.
  • Operate a forklift safely (if applicable).
  • Receive and store incoming items according to warehouse standards.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all handled items.
  • Keep assigned areas (yard and warehouse) clean.
  • Promptly and safely reload route trucks.
  • Sort and store partial cases of products returned on route trucks.
  • Maintain records of daily checklists.
  • Demonstrate communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills with peers.
  • Ensure adherence to audit standards.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be able to pass a Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable).

  • Counting inventory using basic mathematical calculations.
  • Controlling inventory by tracking levels and locating products.
  • Process control and documentation, including product certification and meeting quality standards under tight deadlines.
