About the role

Engineering Project Manager - Frito Lay Warehouse Automation

PepsiCo 1NA Engineering is seeking a technical project manager to lead the execution of the Frito Lay Plant Warehouse’s Palletizing, Loading Automation, and Board on Floor projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scoping and design recommendations for Frito Lay’s Automated Guided Vehicle Projects.
  • Support installation and start-up activities for new projects.
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional teams of colleagues and outside resources.
  • Apply Engineering principles to problem solving and managing unexpected changes.
  • Manage, communicate and mitigate project risks.
  • Develop, manage and execute equipment installation and start-up plans while supervising outside contractors and vendors.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous project deliverables, accelerated timelines and competing priorities.
  • Partner with OEMs to continuously improve equipment design offerings, upgrades, training, and maintenance initiatives.
  • Develop into a subject matter expert (SME) for Frito Lay’s Automated Guided Vehicle’s.

Compensation and Benefits:

The expected compensation range for this position is between $80,200 - $134,250. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.

  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and computer skills; CAD skills preferred
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Established record of project definition and execution
  • Technical curiosity
  • Innovative thinking skills to drive transformational change
  • Understanding of various warehouse and material handling automation technologies and controls
  • Ability to communicate to various levels of the organization
  • Warehouse/Distribution Center Operations experience preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Ability to travel: 25%-40%
