About This Opportunity
Join our cybersecurity team as an Information Security Analyst at Peoples Group. In this role, you will safeguard our information systems and networks from cyber threats by monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, and by identifying and remediating gaps in our security posture.
About The Day-to-day
- Conduct investigations and breach management activities using approved processes.
- Document security incidents, breaches, and investigations thoroughly.
- Monitor security tracking tools, prepare detailed reports and presentations on metrics and risks.
- Perform security, vulnerability, and risk assessments on systems and networks.
- Respond to and manage customer security requests based on risk assessment.
- Train IT staff on network and information security policies and procedures.
Position Requirements
Solid understanding of information security principles, IT risks, and compliance frameworks including COBIT, ISO 27001/2, and PCI.
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using data from varied sources.
- Ability to build consultative and collaborative relationships.
- Experience with Firewalls, SIEM, EDR and other security technologies.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft security stack including Defender, Sentinel, and Entra is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This role offers a flexible and hybrid work environment combining in-office work at our Toronto location with remote work. Regular business hours apply, with some on-call responsibilities as an escalation point for our Managed Security Services Provider.
