Manager, Sponsorships Event Marketing
People Inc. is seeking a skilled Manager, Sponsorships, Event Marketing to join our dynamic Event Marketing team. This role supports the Executive Director, Event Marketing and focuses on managing sponsorships for our Travel Category, with additional support for the broader event marketing team.
Hybrid Work Arrangement
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring 3 days per week in our New York office, with the flexibility to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About The Team
The Event Marketing team is instrumental in creating and executing successful events. We are responsible for the entire event lifecycle, from initial concept to post-event analysis. Our team fosters cross-functional collaboration, strategizing with Sales and Marketing to develop compelling event messaging and memorable experiences. Our goal is to align with company objectives, drive attendee engagement, and achieve measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Director of Event Marketing with pre-sale requests and sponsorship acquisition.
- Implement, oversee, and manage all sponsorship activations for advertising partners, coordinating logistical and operational details pre-event and managing onsite execution.
- Collaborate closely with Sales & Marketing teams to respond to RFPs and create impactful event marketing sponsorship proposals efficiently.
- Partner with Sales & Marketing teams to develop essential event sponsorship tools, including templates, one-sheets, and presentations.
- Coordinate with the event marketing team to ensure seamless integration of sponsorships across various events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in event marketing, sponsorship management, or special events, preferably within a media company.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient writing skills with a strong understanding of marketing principles.
- Effective project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proactive, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

Travel Requirements
This role requires approximately 20% domestic and international travel.
