Location: Remote (United States)
Compensation: $165,000-$200,000 Base + Bonus + Equity
About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing technology company is hiring Senior AI Engineers to help build the next generation of AI-powered products and intelligent workflow systems.
This role sits within a newly formed AI Engineering organization focused on developing agentic workflows, autonomous systems, retrieval architectures, and production AI applications. The team is building practical AI solutions that automate complex business processes, enhance decision-making, and improve operational efficiency at scale.
This is an opportunity to work on AI systems that move beyond simple chat experiences and into autonomous execution, workflow automation, tool use, and intelligent orchestration.
What You'll Do
- Build production AI applications leveraging LLMs, retrieval systems, and intelligent workflows
- Develop agentic systems capable of executing complex multi-step processes
- Design and implement RAG architectures, retrieval pipelines, and orchestration frameworks
- Build APIs, backend services, and infrastructure supporting AI-powered products
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing software platforms and business applications
- Evaluate, monitor, and improve AI system performance through experimentation and iteration
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions around AI infrastructure, deployment, scalability, and reliability
- Help shape the future direction of a growing AI engineering team
- Operate with significant ownership and autonomy
Ideal Background
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with production experience in Python
- Experience building and deploying AI-powered applications in production
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG systems, agents, workflow automation, or orchestration frameworks
- Experience building APIs, backend systems, distributed applications, or cloud-native services
- Comfortable working across software engineering, AI implementation, and product development
- Experience with modern AI tooling, vector databases, retrieval systems, or orchestration platforms
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive projects from concept to production
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
