Software Test Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

The Software Test Engineer will be a hands-on technical contributor responsible for building, maintaining and scaling automated test frameworks for embedded software running on our precision field computer platform. The role focuses on developing a robust automated test cases based on system requirements, validating embedded to network communications and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate test requirements, based on specifications, standard procedures, and internal/external requirements.

- Design, create and run automated test cases.

- Develop test plans and procedures.

- Execute and document tests.

- Identify and recommend test equipment, production equipment, fixturing, or tooling needed to meet product specifications.

- Prepare reports of testing data, evaluate, and provide recommendations based on findings. Lead or contribute input for improvements.

- Train team members on utilization of test equipment and procedures.

- Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications.

- May assist with the request for quote process, as related to needs for the testing function.

Experience Required

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.

- 3+ years of experience in software test automation for embedded systems.

- Strong proficiency in Python with 3+ years of experience for test case development and framework automation

- Experience working with Selenium or Playwright

- Familiarity with virtualization/emulation environments.

- Experience with git and supporting CI/CD tools.
