Overview

Penske Logistics is seeking a proven leader with relevant experience and skills to join our warehousing operations team. The Operations Supervisor provides direction at a single location, leading staff and ensuring customer requirements are met while achieving Penske goals and objectives. This role is bonus eligible based on performance with the potential to earn up to 12% of base salary.

Position Summary

Lead and support individual contributors and hourly workforce in daily tasks including loading/unloading trailers, cross-docking, and customer service operations. Supervise workforce and equipment scheduling, manage corrective actions and disciplinary decisions, participate in hiring, and attend customer meetings as needed.

Major Responsibilities

• People: Train and develop supervisors and associates to meet customer objectives, interview candidates, monitor performance, and provide coaching.
• Operations: Supervise logistics tasks such as freight handling, documentation, team meetings, process improvements, and providing relief coverage when necessary.
• Finance: Ensure compliance with financial policies, manage overtime, and monitor productivity targets to influence profitability.
• Safety: Oversee safety training, provide regular safety observations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Growth/Customer Experience & Fleet/Assets: Meet customer expectations, drive continuous improvement, schedule work for efficient use of equipment, and manage vendor relationships.

Shift & Compensation

Shift hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm with a requirement to arrive 30 minutes early. Flexibility may be necessary during peak seasons, holidays, or short-staffed situations. Salary ranges between $68,640 and $81,650 with bonus eligibility.
