Marketing and Communications Specialist
The Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to implement a variety of marketing, communications, and public relations strategies. This role involves creating and managing content across multiple platforms, including direct mail, advertising, web, email, social media, news media, and special events. The specialist will research and translate subject matter into compelling content for various materials such as fact sheets, brochures, articles, newsletters, and digital signage. A key aspect of this position is participating in the planning of marketing and communications strategies, and then executing, creating, conceptualizing, editing, implementing, and enhancing communications and content, including website copy, advertisements, articles, and feature stories.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and coordinate the production of marketing and promotional communications across print, electronic, social media, and new/emerging media channels, ensuring alignment with the unit's strategic marketing plan.
- Contribute content for various internal and external communications, including fact sheets, brochures, articles, newsletters, and speaker remarks.
- Edit and proofread diverse publications, including websites, advertisements, articles, brochures, and feature stories.
- Prepare creative briefs for concept development and present creative work to clients.
- Monitor news and media presence, and track analytics for website and digital traffic.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, contractual obligations, confidentiality, privacy policies, and style guidelines.
- Plan and oversee event promotions.
- Collaborate with agencies and vendors on marketing campaigns.
- Monitor and communicate the status of tactical campaign implementation to clients and management.
- Collaborate in the planning of marketing and communications strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 1+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- No specific certifications required.

Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $46,400.00 - $67,300.00 annually.
