About the Role
Penguin Random House is seeking a Legal Operations Associate, Litigation to support the Legal Department with diverse challenges in a global publishing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting: Prepare initial drafts of litigation documents including subpoenas, interrogatory responses, and settlement agreements. Experience with AI tools like GCAI is a plus.
- E-discovery: Collect and prepare documents for litigation and liaise with e-discovery vendors.
- Project Management: Organize, track, and communicate key matter deadlines, production records, and internal tracking documents while managing vendor agreements.
- Legal Technology: Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementation of legal technology solutions.
- Operational Leadership: Identify process inefficiencies and assist in implementing improvements and new technologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal, technology, publishing, or media environment.
- Experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal operations is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AI tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and deadline management skills.
- A growth mindset and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

This hybrid role requires in-office presence at 1745 Broadway, New York, NY, with candidates residing in the tri-state area (NJ, CT, PA) considered. The position offers a salary range of $56,000 to $60,000 with eligibility for annual profit awards or bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
