Job Overview
Can you help make some of the world’s biggest children’s brands even bigger? Penguin Random House UK is seeking a driven and commercially aware Key Account Manager - Children's to join their UK children’s trade team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will implement strategic sales initiatives and identify new opportunities in the dynamic UK market, working closely with key retailers like Waterstones and Tesco.
Key Responsibilities
- Present key titles and secure retailer support.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with buyers.
- Organize and prepare for customer meetings, including presentations.
- Drive profitable sales to meet annual budget and growth targets.
- Provide market insights and collaborate across teams.
- Report, analyze sales data and participate in divisional meetings.
What You’ll Bring
A proven track record in sales with strong negotiation skills is essential. A genuine passion for children’s books, effective communication, and a knack for data and analytics are vital. Detail orientation, organizational skills, and the ability to work autonomously will be highly valued.
Preferred Criteria
Experience in a creative industry and with supermarkets or high street retailers is advantageous.

Salary & Work Arrangement
The salary is circa £42,000, plus benefits. This is a 12-month fixed term contract with hybrid working; you are expected to work from the London office 2 days per week.
