Summer School Contract Markers - Senior High Science
Vista Virtual School (VVS) is seeking applications for Summer School Contract Markers for Senior High Science courses, with a preference for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This role involves evaluating student assignments, providing constructive feedback, and communicating with students and staff. There is potential for this contract to extend to the 26/27 school year. VVS is an Alberta Education-accredited distance education school based in Calgary, serving students from various backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Understanding of the Alberta School Curriculum.
- Familiarity with technology in instruction.
- Flexibility and adaptability to distance learning challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Proven experience as an effective teacher (classroom or online).
- Diploma marking experience is preferred.
Contract Requirements
- Evaluate student assignments, provide feedback, and contact students.
- Communicate with students and staff via telephone, internet, and email.
- Must use own equipment, including high-speed internet and computer.
- Adhere to specific performance expectations.
- Work off-site.
