Lead Specialist, Customer Content Developer at Pearson

The Lead Specialist, Customer Content Developer at Pearson is an Instructional Designer & Content Producer focused on creating engaging and scalable training content that empowers customers to succeed with Pearson solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Customer Success and Product teams, transforming subject matter expert knowledge and product updates into clear, impactful learning resources. This position uniquely blends instructional design expertise with hands-on content creation, spanning videos, guides, toolkits, and interactive learning experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with SMEs, Customer Success, and Product teams to design structured, role-based learning paths and resources.
  • Produce digital content, including videos, toolkits, quick-start guides, and interactive modules, to support onboarding, feature adoption, and ongoing education.
  • Apply instructional design best practices to create learning content that is both effective and engaging.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Enablement & Onboarding team to ensure content aligns with customer onboarding initiatives and product updates.
  • Publish and manage content within the LMS/Academy platform (academy.credly.com), ensuring all assets are tagged, discoverable, and tracked for engagement.
  • Monitor performance metrics such as content completion, customer feedback, and learning assessments, optimizing content based on data insights.
  • Maintain a content refresh cycle to ensure all customer resources remain accurate and relevant.
  • Ensure all content meets accessibility, localization, and brand guidelines.

What Will Set You Up For Success

  • 4+ years of experience in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, or Digital Content Production.
  • Demonstrated ability to design end-to-end learning experiences and multimedia content.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and video production software (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, Canva).
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning analytics.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical information for a customer audience.
  • A portfolio of training content or digital assets showcasing creativity and instructional clarity.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by various factors including skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The minimum full-time salary range for this position is between $110,000 - $115,000. This role is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and comprehensive benefits information is available here.
