About the role
Technical Program Manager - Fintech Engineering
PayU Finance India Pvt Ltd. is seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager to join our Fintech Engineering Team in Bangalore. This role is crucial for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects and initiatives that enhance our financial technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Management: Define project objectives, scope, and requirements; develop detailed project plans with timelines and milestones; identify and mitigate risks; monitor project progress; and contribute to release planning with critical paths and dependencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between engineering, product, design, and other teams to ensure alignment with fintech engineering strategy and facilitate effective communication.
- Agile Practices: Lead sprint planning, stand-up meetings, retrospectives, and demos; publish sprint metrics with insights; identify and remove impediments to team progress; and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality reviews and track development and production metrics to ensure delivered solutions meet specified criteria.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and plan mitigation for project risks; implement contingency plans; and provide insights on schedule and effort variances to aid decision-making.
- Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders; maintain project documentation including plans, requirements, and technical specifications.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, understand their business needs, address feedback, and adapt project plans accordingly. Support development managers, product, and business teams throughout the planning and delivery process.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager, preferably in fintech or financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial technology, payment systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Project management certifications (PMP, Scrum, etc.) are a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
