Overview
The Lead Product Manager - Identity Management at PayPal plays a central role in defining product strategy and executing an innovative architectural roadmap. This role balances design excellence, regulatory requirements, customer needs and product profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product strategy with cross-functional stakeholder inputs.
- Implement an architectural roadmap balancing innovation and regulation.
- Control customer experience and translate needs into requirements.
- Monitor usability studies, market research and product metrics.
- Manage analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis.
- Oversee product profitability including budget management.
- Participate in Product, Operating and Business Reviews.
- Collaborate with content developers, data scientists, product designers and UX researchers.
Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years relevant work experience along with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). Must have 3-5 years in building consumer or B2C software and experience with Identity or Authentication products. Familiarity with NIST 800-63, FTC and EU SCA/PSD2 guidelines is essential. Prior experience in eCommerce, FinTech, and banking ecosystems is a major plus.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are expected, along with robust business and technical acumen. The role requires strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities, paired with high attention to detail.
