About The Role

As a Blockchain Software Engineer on the Blockchain team, you will play a key role in architecting, building, and maintaining Paxos’ blockchain infrastructure and applications. You’ll use your deep technical expertise and hands-on skills to deliver secure and scalable solutions, collaborating closely across functions to help shape our technological direction and execute complex projects.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical issuance systems that support tokenized assets across multiple blockchains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, and infrastructure to define system architecture and technical requirements.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our issuance services through best practices in software design, testing, and deployment.
• Optimize existing issuance infrastructure to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in blockchain, distributed systems, and financial technology to drive innovation within the team.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making processes.

About You

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions.
• Strong expertise in building scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with modern web technologies and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Track record of writing clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and experience building secure systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex requirements into manageable tasks.
• Experience with workflow engines and state management systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and KYC/AML processes is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve how you work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
