About the Capital Markets Analyst Role
The Capital Markets Analyst contributes to identifying, evaluating, and achieving strategic business opportunities through new Capital Markets structured finance initiatives. This role aims to optimize the bank’s balance sheet and enhance the company’s financial performance.
What You Will Do
- Provide analytical and operational support for Capital Markets initiatives.
- Assist in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of new structured finance opportunities (securitization, whole loan sales, forward flow agreements).
- Help review Lender Finance / Warehouse term sheets and legal documentation, assess deal risk/return, and prepare approval write-ups for the Executive Credit Committee.
- Assist with day-to-day warehouse lending operations, including advance/paydown requests and compliance reporting.
- Develop and execute ongoing controls, mitigation plans, testing, and oversight for the warehouse lending business.
- Identify and implement best practices for Capital Markets reporting and operational/credit risk management.
- Support oversight of third-party Capital Markets financial and operational audits.
- Assist with Capital Markets due diligence, financial modeling, risk management, and legal documentation.
- Collaborate on detailed financial analysis and building complex transaction models for structured finance.
- Support the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Capital Markets on related tasks.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Up to 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
