Overview

PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity with over 40 years of experience in multisector partnerships. The role entails leading PATH’s Women’s Health team and directing the Future Injectables Market Steward (FIMS) project.

Role Responsibilities

FIMS Project Director (~75% time): Provide visionary leadership to drive strategic direction, manage a multi-country project team, leverage partnerships, and address market barriers for injectable contraceptives. Ensure timely reporting and coordinate with a dispersed team to meet project milestones.

  • Lead overall FIMS project implementation
  • Engage with donors and partners
  • Manage budgets and deliverables
  • Coordinate with regional and country teams
  • Supervise a global team of 5-7 members

Women’s Health Team Lead (~25% time): Lead the global women’s health portfolio, integrate technical expertise, build cross-functional collaborations across PATH, and elevate women's health in primary care. Mentor teams and oversee technical quality in women’s health initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance in self-care, method choice, and cervical cancer
  • Engage with external stakeholders including ministries, donors, and regional bodies
  • Drive business development, proposal leadership, and new funding opportunities
  • Represent PATH at international conferences and policy forums

Qualifications

Master's degree (or Bachelor with additional experience) in public health or related field; 10+ years of experience in global women’s health; proven leadership abilities; experience in family planning and market-based solutions; and eligibility to work in an authorized African country.
