About the Legal Operations Specialist Role
The Legal Operations Specialist at Patagonia is responsible for evolving the legal operations and technology strategy at the company headquarters in Ventura, CA. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel – People, this individual contributor role focuses on optimizing department systems including contract administration, electronic billing, budget and expense management, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Technology Strategy and Management: Manage and optimize technology systems like Legal Tracker and Ironclad.
- Oversee matter intake portals and ensure smooth contract flow.
- Provide training and serve as a subject matter expert on legal technology trends.
- Legal Operations: Identify operational improvements and optimize legal department workflows.
- Manage document retention, budget reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Coordinate with Crisis Management and support litigation preparation as needed.
Who You Are
You are technically proficient with experience implementing innovative legal technology solutions. You possess strong interpersonal skills, excel in project management, and are dedicated to justice, equity, and Patagonia's mission to save our home planet.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years in Legal Operations within a law firm or global company.
- Experience with Ironclad is a plus.
