About Parrot

Rejoignez l'aventure Parrot !

Job Description

In the context of the ongoing development of the Anafi 3 drone range and accessories, you will be responsible for the design, mechanical integration, and industrialization of drone customization elements and/or complementary modules with very strong technical requirements. A fundamental challenge is to integrate the functional electronics of these elements, taking into account mechanical constraints such as vibration, thermal, and IP ratings, within a defined mass budget, which guarantees the performance of the drone or accessories. The design of these modules will involve creating plastic, metal, and composite parts using various manufacturing processes and close collaboration with hardware and software teams.

Your Missions

Your missions will include:
  • Designing on Solidworks 2025 associated with Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE cloud.
  • Mastering 3D design and 2D drawing (proficiency in ISO dimensioning).
  • Launching and validating prototype parts, and assembling them in our FabLab.
  • Anticipating the validation plan (drop test, vibration, endurance...) and performing simulations to prove design resistance.
  • Industrializing 3D models according to DFMs provided by our suppliers.
  • Creating manufacturing files for sub-assemblies (Bill of Materials, assembly process).
  • Troubleshooting First of Tool (FoT), mechanical components, and cables.
  • Following assembly campaigns in factories (DV, PV...) (in Asia).
  • Proposing technical solutions to make the product very robust, lightweight, and capable of withstanding severe climatic conditions. The design will consider functional constraints related to vibratory and acoustic disturbances, thermal heating, outdoor environment (rain, wind), and customer safety.
  • Delivering project milestones on time.
  • Supporting the group leader and/or project manager for the mechanical technical aspects.

Your Profile

  • Graduated from a General Engineering School or equivalent (Bac+5).
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in R&D and/or Industry with significant experience in assembling electronic products.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, 3D design, and drawing with GD&T dimensioning, as well as prototyping techniques.
  • A strong understanding of various mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Good knowledge of electronics.
  • Software skills would be a plus.
  • Demonstrated rigor, autonomy, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
