Position / Missions
For 20 years, PARLYM has been performing mechanical calculations: thermo-mechanical, fatigue, vibratory, or general installation calculations: flexibility, support, metal structures in the nuclear sector. Reporting to our Lyon agency, you will act as an Ingénieur Calcul Confirmé (H/F) and numerical simulation specialist within our R&D department of 20 calculation engineers. We are looking for our future talents in the nuclear sector to contribute to shaping a safe and sustainable energy future. If you are ready to take on the challenge, come explore new horizons as an Ingénieur Calcul Confirmé H/F. Here are the responsibilities that will be entrusted to you:
- Carrying out piping calculations using PIPESTRESS or CAESAR software.
- Performing Finite Element calculations for metallic structures and mechanical equipment using ANSYS (WB/APDL), ROBOT STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS, BEAMSTRESS, ABAQUS, FEMAP, etc.
- Conducting site surveys on nuclear sites nationwide.
- Writing deliverables (survey reports, calculation notes, etc.).
- Performing calculations according to RDM rules.
- From the start, you will be trained in our trades, methods, tools, and the regulations in force in our business sectors: RCC-M, Eurocodes, EN13480, EN13445, CODAP, ASME, etc.
You may be asked to carry out the following activities:
- Support our junior calculation engineers.
- Verify mechanical calculations.
You could evolve within our study and calculation departments towards responsibilities on diversified projects, towards expertise, or join project management roles.

- You have a Bac +5 degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent university or generalist degree with a mechanical specialization.
- You have a minimum of 4 years of successful experience in structural calculations.
- You master one or more finite element calculation software such as ANSYS, LS-DYNA, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in software like PipeStress and Python is a plus.
- You have skills in mechanical design and knowledge of one or more design codes such as RCCM/RCCM-R, EUROCODES, or CODAP, which are required for the position.
- You have an analytical mindset and good synthesis skills.
- You can manage multiple interfaces.
- You have good teamwork skills.
