Pansophic Learning is seeking a Product Operations Engineer to design, code, and test software solutions for learning systems. You will deliver and support high-quality products in a timely manner, administering Canvas, third-party integrations, and SIS to support global expansion. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation, support, and troubleshooting of systems within our educational environment (Online, Brick and Mortar, international, 100+ schools).
- Utilize strong technical skills in data analysis, complex configurations, and integrations with internal and external applications.
- Collaborate with Software Development Managers and Software Engineers to suggest and implement solutions for current and future developments.
- Design, implement, and test software solutions for K-12 learning environments.
- Develop RESTful web services using NodeJS, Google Apps Script, and Postman.
- Work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build, host, and maintain application environments.
- Follow best practices for Git source code repositories, including branching and merging strategies.
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems, including production issues and code deployments.
- Contribute to user interface design and development.
- Set up and administer systems (SIS, LMS, third-party integrations) for new and existing schools.
- Work closely with enrollment and development teams to map data into the learning ecosystem.
- Coordinate daily operations of systems, addressing system anomalies, diagnosing issues, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Perform routine maintenance and application updates.
- Coordinate with vendors on maintenance impacts and communicate updates to impacted parties.
- Collaborate with various departments on projects, data requests, automation, and custom reports.
- Create and maintain documentation and provide training.
- Support systems during school year-end activities and annual rollovers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Experience administering complex systems/integrations (Canvas LMS, SIS, Clever Integrations).
- Strong technical aptitude for learning new systems and backend reporting.
- Experience developing open standards-based solutions (web services, web applications, UIs).
- Demonstrable experience implementing features across a software development team.
- Self-starter ability, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, solving challenging problems, and automating manual tasks.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of relational databases and proficiency with SQL.
- Experience with message queue technology and design patterns.
- 3+ years of experience with NodeJS.
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript.
- Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, EC2, CloudFront, Redshift).
- Experience with AWS APIs.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience with ticket tracking and supporting end users.
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to think independently and contribute without much direction.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual starting salary for this position is between $95,000 – $105,000 annually. Factors influencing pay include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and 10 paid holidays annually.
Paid Time Off is available for sick, vacation, and personal absences. Four unique health insurance plans are offered with varying deductibles and co-insurance levels.
