Summary of the Regional Human Resources Manager Role
The Regional Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic HR partner to Operations leadership (VPO/RDO/ACO) within assigned region(s). This role focuses on developing and coaching Operations management, collaborating on People Planning, creating and executing staffing plans, and delivering essential training courses to leadership and associates. Additionally, the Regional Human Resources Manager facilitates the resolution of associate relations issues. This position typically supports 80 – 120 stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Partners with Operations leadership (primarily VPOs, RDOs, ACOs, and MUMs) in assigned region(s) to facilitate People Planning, focusing on the development and coaching of Operations management.
- Evaluates internal candidates for vacant/new positions and identifies high-potential associates, participating in panel interviews to ensure alignment.
- Conducts field visits and interviews to pinpoint opportunities for improving associate retention.
- Coaches Operations leadership on associate relations to achieve problem resolution and minimize litigation risk.
- Conducts timely and thorough investigations into associate complaints and disputes, documenting issues comprehensively.
- Resolves straightforward associate issues while escalating complex associate relations concerns to Field HR Directors or the Office of Dispute Resolution.
- Assists Operations leadership in developing and executing a Regional Strategic Plan to secure both internal and external candidate pipelines.
- Forecasts staffing needs to fill vacant Operations management positions promptly, supporting company growth.
- Participates in Open House events and career fairs, supported by Recruiters at the Support Center.
- Advises Operations leadership on effective associate performance evaluations and supporting career and personal development.
- Engages with new hires through the Keep In Touch Program to foster understanding of Panda’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Culture.
- Ensures new hires receive adequate and appropriate training opportunities and encourages their participation.
- Collaborates with the Decentralized Learning Manager to coordinate local training and development sessions for Operations management (e.g., 7 Habits, Sexual Harassment, Interviewing Skills, Performance Reviews, Individual Development Plans).
Work Environment
This role requires regular local travel and occasional overnight travel (25–50%), with variations depending on the specific region. Candidates must be able to meet these travel requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Candidate Background and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; business and/or HR majors preferred.
- 7+ years of HR experience, with 5+ years of HR Generalist experience in associate relations, training and development, recruiting, and people management.
- Alternatively, equivalent Operations management experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment.
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a mandatory requirement.
Pay Range
M2: $112,500 - $158,000 / Annual. Individual pay is determined by factors such as work location and experience.
