The Role of a Sales Professional at Palantir Technologies
Palantir builds world-leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. Our platforms empower partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more by delivering the right data to the people who need it. As a Sales professional at Palantir, you will join our US Sales team, targeting and partnering with some of the largest institutions globally to help them solve their most mission-critical problems. You will work alongside brilliant engineers to deliver impactful results. Our products are complex yet highly versatile, allowing for value delivery in hours or days, not weeks or months.
You will be responsible for engaging, evaluating, and securing new and expansion business opportunities with targeted large institutions. Recognizing that each partner (client) has unique procurement processes, successful Sales professionals at Palantir view these distinctions as opportunities for value creation. We expect you to tailor your approach to both Palantir's offerings and each unique opportunity, rather than relying on previous enterprise software sales strategies.
Core Responsibilities
- Encourage cross-functional team collaboration to shape outreach and shepherd engagements from initial meeting through procurement to close.
- Develop comprehensive customer profiles, identifying target customer needs and the most effective ways to address them.
- Implement a robust strategy for expanding Palantir's presence within major US-based institutions.
- Thrive in a dynamic, highly technical environment, developing deep familiarity with Palantir's software capabilities and their diverse real-world applications.
- Meet and/or exceed defined metrics by consistently securing enterprise contracts.

What We Require
- Ability to travel (50%+) as dictated by business needs.
- 10+ years of outbound sales experience with a focus on closing net new business.
- Must be in the office 2+ days a week.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this Sales position is $115,000 - $150,000/year. Total compensation may also include Restricted Stock Units, a sign-on bonus, and other potential future incentives, determined by individual qualifications, experience, and skills. This estimate excludes additional benefits and long-term incentives.
