Job Description

People Operations Specialist at Palantir Technologies

A World-Changing Company

Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more.

The Role

This is a high-impact role that offers the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across all areas of the business. As a People Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in Palantir’s operations, supporting employees from initial offer throughout their entire Palantir journey.

You are passionate about People Operations (employee onboarding, data management, customer service) and committed to providing high-quality service. Your ability to manage high-volume workstreams and prioritize competing demands will be crucial to your success in this fast-paced environment. You understand and can articulate the broader context of people project work – what tradeoffs were made, who made them, and what the reasons were.

You are outcome-oriented and pursue solutions in a thoughtful, iterative, and empathetic way. You have a keen eye for detail and critical thinking and are motivated by consistently improving internal processes that remove friction and create seamless employee experiences. Most importantly, you find people-focused work exciting and rewarding, and you're energized by the opportunity to work at the intersection of people and operations. At Palantir, we work hard to support all of our team members in our shared pursuit of the mission – and as a People Operations Specialist, you'll be instrumental in making that happen.

  • Identify areas of opportunity to streamline workflows and optimize operational programs, partnering with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions.
  • Dive in and leverage People data to answer questions coming from the business.
  • Manage programs across the People Operations team - this could be anything from vendor management to building SOPs/new workflows to meet emerging business needs.
  • Establish and maintain trust and credibility across all levels of the company.

What We Value

  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities, including self-driven projects and collaborative team efforts.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication. Ability to collaborate across a diverse set of stakeholders - including technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workstreams while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Track record of driving process improvements and identifying ways to optimize workflows over time, enhancing either the employee or operator’s experience.
  • Adaptable and confident in navigating a rapidly changing work environment while solving open-ended problems through operational solutions and streamlined processes.
  • Adept at acting upon feedback and maneuvering challenging and nuanced situations with tact.

What We Require

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role in a Human Resources/People team.
