Responsibilities and duties
- Act as a technical reference in perimeter security.
- Define and evolve secure architectures for application and API exposure.
- Technically lead initiatives involving Firewall, Proxy, WAF/CDN, and API protection.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting in critical production environments.
- Evolve protection policies and strategies.
- Identify architectural risks and propose structural improvements.
- Act as a bridge between Infrastructure, Development, SOC, and Cloud teams.
- Reduce operational dependency through automation and standardization.
- Support the translation of technical risks into business impact.
- Ensure the sustainability of critical and high-availability environments.
- Prepare technical reports and strategic presentations for leadership.
- Ability to define, document, and evolve security architectures.
Requirements and qualifications
- Completed Higher Education in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related areas.
- Experience with network and perimeter security architecture.
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS.
- Experience with Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, or similar), including architecture definition, traffic inspection, policies, and segmentation.
- Experience with WAF and CDN (Cloudflare, Akamai, or similar), including tuning, analysis, and mitigation of false positives in high-criticality environments.
- Experience with advanced traffic and application troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of application and API exposure architectures.
- Experience with Public Cloud environments (AWS or similar).
- Experience with technical decision-making considering risk, impact, and business.
Additional Information
- Experience with application security (OWASP Top 10).
- Knowledge of API security (OWASP API Top 10) and API protection solutions.
- Knowledge in bot mitigation and abuse (rate limiting, bot management).
- Experience with Zero Trust and access segmentation.
- Knowledge of IPS/IDS, DDoS, and Proxy solutions.
- Experience with Linux.
- Knowledge of automation (Python, Terraform, API integration).
- Experience with observability and traffic analysis tools.
