Job Description
The Infrastructure Support Engineer (Security) is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining secure configurations, policies, and updates across the server infrastructure. This role involves technical change management, automation, and secure IT operations.
The successful candidate will ensure that the infrastructure estate is protected and updated using tools such as SCCM, SCOM, inTune and other native update techniques. The role includes deploying countermeasures, reviewing security bulletins, collaborating with security colleagues and vendors, and supporting critical systems including disaster recovery planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a secure and updated server infrastructure estate.
- Implement tools like SCCM, SCOM, and inTune for vulnerability management.
- Mitigate vulnerabilities identified from penetration tests.
- Collaborate with security teams and vendors to review threats.
- Support business critical systems and disaster recovery planning.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Azure, Office 365, Hyper-V, VMware, and SaaS Backup Platforms.
- Experience in securing assets and protecting infrastructure from threats.
- Good knowledge of infrastructure services such as directory services, Entra ID, SCCM, SCOM, and inTune.
- Experience with virtual technologies and supporting compliance audits.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Flexibility for weekend work and on-call duties.
