Job Description

Engineering Scientist at OZ Optics Ltd.

OZ Optics Ltd. is seeking an experienced Engineering Scientist to join our team. This role involves conducting research, designing electrical and electronic components, and leading a team in a manufacturing and troubleshooting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to expand knowledge of the field.
  • Design electrical and electronic components, systems, and equipment.
  • Supervise a team of 11-15 people.
  • Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team to determine project requirements.
  • Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics.
  • Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Fiber optics, Design, Operations/Production, Project Management, Project Planning, and Research & Development.
  • Specialization in Optics and Laser Physics, Physics, Science, or Failure Analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, MS Outlook, MS Word, Information Technology, and Database Software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Work Setting and Environment

  • On-site work in a rural manufacturing setting.
  • Requires an own vehicle, own transportation, and a valid driver's license.
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a need for attention to detail.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Criminal record check required.
