Senior Manager, People Programs

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager, People Programs to lead the development and delivery of programs central to creating an inspiring employee experience. This role will drive Oyster towards its goals, foster a culture aligned with our values, and ensure responsible operations. You will oversee employee experience, strategic programs, people data insights, and performance programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the employee journey.

As a data-driven innovator, you will be responsible for building new processes, iterating on existing ones, and testing creative strategies. You thrive on operational excellence and hold a high standard for yourself and your team. This role reports to the Director, People Experience and leads the People Programs team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive People Programs strategy that fosters a high-performance culture and enhances the employee experience.
  • Manage the development and communication of key People Programs, including onboarding, offboarding, compensation, rewards, and performance management.
  • Oversee the overall people operations strategy and manage the People Operations and Programs team.
  • Advance our People Operations capacity model for seamless integration with the Oyster platform.
  • Lead internal communication strategies for globally distributed teams, including company-wide campaigns and leadership communications.
  • Identify and address gaps in existing People Programs, designing new initiatives to scale with business growth.
  • Oversee the delivery of employee engagement programs, strategic initiatives, people data insights, enablement, communications, and performance programs.
  • Measure program impact and effectiveness through data analysis, reporting, and continuous iteration based on feedback.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts by developing and implementing inclusive strategies and practices.
  • Oversee the production of company All Hands meetings to ensure they are engaging and informative.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams such as Talent Acquisition, FP&A, and Legal.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in People Programs and employee engagement.

Core Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and scaling People Programs in a fast-growing, global environment.
  • Adept at balancing standardized global programs with international legal and operational nuances.
  • Passion for building high-performance cultures that balance productivity with employee well-being.
  • Strong analytical capability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience leading company-wide messaging, including executive and change communications.
  • Experience designing and leading global enablement programs.
  • Proven ability to increase operational efficiency through automation and AI tools.
  • Familiarity with global compensation structures, benefits, and reward recognition programs.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple workstreams.
