Overview

The Health Practice team at Oxford Policy Management is seeking a National Climate Change and Health Consultant on a part-time and fixed-term basis. This role supports a climate and health vulnerability assessment project in Chad, Mali, Mozambique, or Somalia. You will work in an international development consultancy dedicated to sustainable policy change in low- and middle-income countries.

Working collaboratively with national stakeholders, your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting rapid landscape analysis of climate-health policies and financing.
  • Reviewing climate impacts on HTM programs and identifying future risks.
  • Developing climate disaster risk reduction and adaptation plans.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with Ministries of Health and key institutions.

Qualifications & Experience: University degree in public health, environmental health, epidemiology, social sciences or related. Experience in data collection, policy research and working with Ministries of Health; bilingual in English and French/Portuguese. Additional bonus if experienced in the climate-health nexus and Global Fund programs.
