About the Engineering Manager Role

Owner.com is looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead a group of talented senior and staff engineers. This role is remote across the United States, with occasional in-person collaboration in the San Francisco Bay Area at our beautiful HQ in the Presidio.

Impact and Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team.
  • Provide mentorship and career development for team members.
  • Create an environment promoting unity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Contribute technically by coding and fixing bugs as needed.

Collaboration and Teamwork

This role reports to the SVP of Engineering and partners closely with Design, Product Managers, and various stakeholders across the company. You will work with experienced and exceptionally talented engineers.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams.
  • Staff-level (IC6+) engineering expertise before moving into management.
  • Experience building high-performing teams and hiring top talent.
  • Passion to remain hands-on and keep coding skills sharp.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams for rapid product features delivery.
  • Direct experience using AI in everyday work.
  • Motivation to empower independent business owners.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $220K-$250K, accompanied by a generous pre-IPO equity package and comprehensive benefits including health coverage, unlimited PTO, and extra perks.
