Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Traveling Journeyman Electrician / Foreman to support our Site Superintendent in nationwide commercial electrical construction projects. This leadership role requires direct involvement in installation, crew direction, and jobsite execution while ensuring safety, efficiency, and NEC compliance. You will occasionally lead small crews, assist the Superintendent with production flow, schedule adherence, and jobsite discipline. The ideal candidate is a proactive Journeyman who leads by example and excels in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
Field Installation & Production
- Execute commercial electrical installations adhering to project drawings, specifications, and NEC requirements.
- Perform layout, installation, and termination of conduit systems, feeders, panels, switchgear, transformers, and lighting.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing and site condition adaptation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, panel schedules, and specifications independently.
- Maintain high productivity standards to meet project schedules and quality expectations.
Crew Leadership & Superintendent Support
- Assist the Superintendent in coordinating daily field operations and manpower.
- Lead small crews safely, efficiently, and accurately.
- Provide technical guidance to apprentices and electricians, ensuring jobsite accountability.
- Maintain organized work areas, manage materials, and proactively identify potential issues.
Safety & Quality Control
- Uphold and enforce company safety standards on all tasks.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and job hazard planning.
- Support testing, commissioning preparation, and turnover documentation.
Communication & Accountability
- Clearly communicate production progress and field challenges to the Superintendent.
- Take ownership of assigned scopes from beginning to end.
- Maintain professionalism with general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of commercial electrical construction experience, including ground-up projects.
- Valid and current State Journeyman Electrical License (active and in good standing).
- Equivalent certification or apprenticeship completion may be considered for states without formal licenses.
- Demonstrated experience in conduit, feeder installations, panel terminations, and commercial power distribution.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, and specifications.
- Proven ability to maintain productivity in schedule-driven commercial construction environments.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards.
- Ability to pass background screening and pre-employment drug testing.
- Must attend in-person orientation and training in Fort Worth, TX.
- Physically capable of performing commercial electrical construction work.

- This is a nationwide traveling position requiring up to 85% travel.
