Job Description
Senior QA Analyst at OVA.Work
OVA.Work is seeking a dedicated Senior QA Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and closely collaborating with development teams to resolve issues prior to product release.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and technical specifications.
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and/or automated testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira or Bugzilla.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Validate fixes and perform re-testing to ensure resolution.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software testing or a QA role.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Knowledge of various testing methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation tools like Selenium or Cypress.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- ISTQB certification is optional but beneficial.
