Our National Conversation (ONC) is seeking a creative UI/UX Design Intern to contribute to our mission of reducing partisanship and promoting effective solutions through a nonpartisan media outlet, educational materials, and facilitated dialogue. What You'll Do

As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will play a crucial role in the technology department, contributing to the evolution of our digital platforms. You will conceptualize and create new designs using Figma, with potential opportunities to design for our mobile app. Your responsibilities will include designing graphics for our website, newsletters, advertisements, and flyers. You will collaborate closely with the COO, CEO, Team Lead, Director of Technology, and fellow interns, while also being capable of independent work.

  • Review and assist with designs for our mobile app and website pages.
  • Create graphics, including logos, advertisements, and flyers.
  • Communicate professionally with leadership regarding designs, layouts, timelines, and ideas.
  • Attend weekly I.T. and UI/UX Design team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Interest in UI/UX Design or pursuing a degree in a related field (Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science).
  • Proficiency in Figma is required.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, ReactJS, or similar front-end frameworks is preferred.
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, including remote coordination and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
