About the Legal Assistant, Litigation Role
The Legal Assistant, Litigation at Osler will proactively manage the practices of multiple Legal Professionals while enhancing the efficiency of their work. The successful candidate will provide high level support in a fast-paced legal environment, balancing a range of administrative and client service tasks.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage LP’s inbox, monitor emails, and keep updated on file developments.
- Maintain calendars, organize appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Act as a point of contact for clients and internal/external stakeholders.
- Administer client accounts, time charges, prebills, and invoice preparation.
- Support client development activities and document management.
- Coordinate document workflows including drafting, formatting, and distribution.
- Manage file setup and assist with audit inquiries and additional duties.
Position Requirements
The role requires a Community College diploma in Office, Legal, or Business Administration and a minimum of three years' experience in a professional services or legal environment. Extensive experience supporting a Partner's practice, discretion, confidentiality, and strong technical skills (MS Office Suite) are essential. Litigation experience is required, and experience in health advocacy is beneficial.
Work Arrangement
This role follows a hybrid work schedule, primarily in-office with up to 2 days remote per week.
