About the role

GI Expert Nurse Practitioner — Clinical

Oshi Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced GI Expert Nurse Practitioner to join our virtual-first gastrointestinal care team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, comprehensive care to adults with complex digestive conditions through our telemedicine platform. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with dietitians and behavioral health specialists to provide coordinated, whole-person care.

What You'll Do — Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver virtual patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for GI conditions (DGBIs, GERD, IBD) via video and chat.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (GI physicians, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, care coordinators) on comprehensive care plans.
  • Adhere to clinical protocols (ROME IV, AGA, ACG guidelines) for evidence-based care delivery.
  • Accurately and timely document patient interactions within the EHR.
  • Allocate approximately 30 hours/week to direct patient care and 10 hours to documentation, meetings, and administrative tasks.
  • Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends to meet patient access needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical program development, and professional training.
  • Pursue cross-licensure opportunities and maintain all licenses and certifications.

What We're Looking For — Qualifications & Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing.
  • Current certification by ANCC, AANP, or other qualifying agency as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in gastroenterology specialty in an outpatient setting.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care providers.
  • Must hold compact licensure and be eligible to practice in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensure in 2 additional states desired; willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn administrative and clinical technologies (Zoom, Google Suite, Salesforce, Athena, or equivalent).
  • Prior experience with telehealth platforms.
  • Comfort operating in an entrepreneurial or start-up environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $125,000 - $125,000 USD.
