About the Financial Reporting Analyst Role
Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role involves developing ad-hoc financial reports and maintaining internal reporting software across various firm functional areas.
Responsibilities
- Develop ad-hoc financial reports for multiple functional areas.
- Create new reports and reporting tools using Power BI, PowerApps, SSRS, MS SQL, ASP.Net, Excel VBA and CMS DocuDraft.
- Automate and manually distribute reporting via industry and in-house systems.
- Participate in month-end close processes including financial reconciliation and data verification.
- Support and maintain in-house financial reporting software.
- Troubleshoot, improve existing reports, and assist with application upgrade projects.
- Engage in UI and back-end testing, support and train Finance and firm staff.
- Manage security rights and collaborate with application support for troubleshooting.
- Promote open communication and continual service improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related field.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience, with law firm experience strongly desired.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Expert knowledge in SSRS, MS SQL, Excel VBA, and experience with Power BI and PowerApps preferred.
- Familiarity with additional financial applications like Aderant Expert/CMS DocuDraft is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus.
