Job Description

About the Financial Reporting Analyst Role

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role involves developing ad-hoc financial reports and maintaining internal reporting software across various firm functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ad-hoc financial reports for multiple functional areas.
  • Create new reports and reporting tools using Power BI, PowerApps, SSRS, MS SQL, ASP.Net, Excel VBA and CMS DocuDraft.
  • Automate and manually distribute reporting via industry and in-house systems.
  • Participate in month-end close processes including financial reconciliation and data verification.
  • Support and maintain in-house financial reporting software.
  • Troubleshoot, improve existing reports, and assist with application upgrade projects.
  • Engage in UI and back-end testing, support and train Finance and firm staff.
  • Manage security rights and collaborate with application support for troubleshooting.
  • Promote open communication and continual service improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience, with law firm experience strongly desired.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
  • Expert knowledge in SSRS, MS SQL, Excel VBA, and experience with Power BI and PowerApps preferred.
  • Familiarity with additional financial applications like Aderant Expert/CMS DocuDraft is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus.
