About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer with a passion for transforming raw data into trusted, actionable insights that guide Origin’s growth. As one of the earliest members of our data team, you’ll shape the foundation of our data ecosystem - from modeling and pipeline architecture to dashboarding and stakeholder enablement. This role bridges analytics and engineering: you’ll design scalable data products and pipelines while partnering with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to ensure data drives every decision we make.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable data architecture, pipelines, and models using dbt, Airflow, and Redshift.
- Build reusable datasets that power analytics, experimentation, and business intelligence.
- Collaborate with Engineering to define event tracking and instrumentation standards.
- Develop core metrics, dashboards, and self-serve tools for stakeholders.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to uncover insights on user behavior and growth.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance through validation and testing.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Continuously improve workflows, documentation, and analytics processes.
Must Have
- Advanced SQL skills, including window functions and CTEs.
- Experience with Python for analysis, modeling, or automation.
- Hands-on experience building dbt models and Airflow pipelines.
- Proficiency with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Metabase, Power BI, Mode).
- Strong data modeling and analytics principles.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- AWS data infrastructure experience (Redshift, S3, Terraform).
- Familiarity with GitHub and version-controlled workflows.
- Experience integrating multiple data sources into single-source-of-truth datasets.
- Statistical or experimental design skills for A/B testing.
- Experience in high-growth startups or small data teams.
