What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Assist with trial start-up activities, including correspondence with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and ensuring documentation is complete
  • Recruit, interview, and screen subjects for clinical trials, following them throughout the trial and follow-up period
  • Collect and enter data from patient medical records and research subject charts into study databases
  • Coordinate patient visits and procedures, including taking vital signs and processing lab specimens for shipment
  • Resolve data queries and maintain data integrity while adhering to deadlines

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to perform job duties with or without accommodation
  • Competence in data entry and maintaining data integrity

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Major in Math or Biostatistics, or a Bachelor of Arts or Science in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another science
  • Previous clinical and/or research experience is highly preferred
  • Basic medical experience, including taking vital signs
  • Experience with Epic Health Information System or internal electronic systems
  • Certifications such as CCRP, CCRA, phlebotomy, or medical assistant certification are a plus
