Orca AI is seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Team Lead to shape the future of the shipping industry and drive the adoption of intelligent navigation solutions across the global maritime ecosystem.
Role Overview
At Orca AI, our mission is to advance maritime safety and efficiency using AI technology that reduces human-caused errors. As the Business Development Team Lead, you will lead and mentor a global team of BDRs, drive pipeline growth, and personally engage with prospects to demonstrate best practices.
What Will You Do?
- Lead and mentor a global team of 2-4 BDRs
- Perform hands-on outreach and own SQL quota
- Develop and optimize outbound strategies including messaging and prospecting
- Coach team members through regular one-on-ones and call reviews
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to align outbound efforts with overall goals
- Analyze pipeline metrics and report on trends
- Refine playbooks and CRM workflows (Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Stay current on industry trends and product updates
Requirements
- 3–5 years of B2B SaaS experience with 1–2 years in a team lead role
- Proven track record in building or scaling outbound teams
- Experience with sales engagement platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, SalesLoft)
- Strong understanding of pipeline metrics and sales operations
- Excellent coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams
- High energy, data-driven approach
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
