Senior Researcher in Cybersecurity

About Orange Polska

Orange Polska is looking for a Senior Researcher in Cybersecurity. You will join a cohesive team of researchers, starting a new, international project within the Orange Group. You will work on topics such as Antiransomware, Risk Assessment, Security of AI, Security of MCP, and Security SLA.

Collaboration is based on an employment contract, with the possibility of remote work (only from Poland) or hybrid work (in any Orange Polska office).

Responsibilities

• Leading and carrying out research work within international projects.
• Conducting research in the following areas:
  • Cybersecurity (experience in post-quantum fields: Quantum Key Distribution and/or Post-Quantum Cryptography is a plus)
  • Network, cloud, and application security
  • Service security management
  • Security monitoring
  • Service infrastructure security
  • Other technologies potentially applicable in cybersecurity
• Analyzing the state-of-the-art, identifying needs, opportunities, and research directions in cybersecurity.
• Proposing new research areas and concepts for new solutions.
• Creating concepts for new technological solutions in cybersecurity and evaluating them in a laboratory environment (Proof of Concept).
• Decomposing and planning research tasks.
• Sharing knowledge, participating in scientific conferences, preparing publications, analytical and informational materials, and presenting results.
• Collaborating with other units and project teams.

Requirements

• Research interests in cybersecurity.
• Research experience in cybersecurity or other related technical fields.
• Fluent in English and Polish (both spoken and written).
• Author or main co-author of scientific publications.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity for ICT systems.
• Experience in implementing Proof of Concepts in virtualized environments.
• Knowledge of cryptographic protocols, DevOps / DevSecOps / GitOps, and software supply chain issues.

Nice to Have

• Author or co-author of patents.
• Participation in R&D projects carried out in the form of competitions, financed by international or national organizations (e.g., EU, NCBiR).
• Knowledge of the architecture of cloud solutions based on virtualization and containerization (Kubernetes) and issues related to monitoring these environments.
• Knowledge of mobile networks.
