Job Description
Data Engineer Role
Join Orange Business's strategic data transformation program, reinforcing our Data team to design, industrialize, and operate business-critical data. As a Data Engineer, you will be involved across the entire data value chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficiency in hyperscalers and affiliated clouds (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
- Deploy and maintain resources using Infrastructure as Code
- Contribute to the reliability of DEV / RECETTE / PREPROD / PROD environments
- Participate in resolving deployment and environment synchronization issues
- Data pipelines: Design and develop ingestion pipelines (batch and event-driven)
- Integrate data from REST APIs, files (CSV, JSON, Parquet), integration tools (ETL / iPaaS), managing historization, volume, and error recovery challenges
- Transformation & Modeling: Develop transformation processes (SQL / Python), structure data into defined zones, implement KPI-oriented analytical models, and optimize performance (partitioning, formats, querying)
- Governance & Quality: Implement data quality controls, manage access rights and security, and contribute to technical and functional documentation
- Collaborate with business teams on datasets and KPIs
- Potentially contribute to data visualization and Business Intelligence: Create and maintain analytical datasets for datavisualization tools, assist in integrating or adapting existing dashboards, and support Data Analysts in understanding data, model structures, performance issues, or indicator consistency.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Engineering
- Solid SQL and Python proficiency
- Significant experience on cloud data platforms covering all processing phases
- Autonomy, teamwork, and service orientation are essential
