We are seeking a skilled User Experience Engineer to help design, implement, and evolve user experiences for developer tooling built on Oracle Database technology. The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting intuitive, high quality interfaces, bridging design and engineering, and partnering closely with product managers and developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
What You'll Bring:
To be considered for a User Experience Engineer position, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume, application questions, and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.
- Completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent science/engineering field by August 2026
- Must start within 12 months of graduating with their degree (start date: June/ July 2026)
- Proven experience as a UX Engineer, Frontend Engineer with strong UX focus, or similar role
- Strong proficiency with modern frontend development (TypeScript + component-based UI)
- Experience building and shipping React-based user interfaces
- Working knowledge of UI testing practices:Unit testing, End-to-end (E2E) testing
- Familiarity with frontend build and development best practices (local dev workflows, builds,debugging)
- Familiarity with modern frontend tooling and workflows for building, testing, and maintaining UIcomponents
- Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and information architecture
- Experience building design systems or reusable component libraries
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
- Familiarity with integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs
- Experience with source control systems and agile development
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Reside in the Canada and/or attend a university in Canada.
- Able to acquire work authorization in Canada in 2026.
Preferred Skills
- Experience collaborating on or implementing designs from tools like Figma
- Familiarity with developer experience (DX) concepts and building tooling for technical users
- Experience with performance profiling and optimizing modern web applications
- Exposure to Java-based backend services and microservice architectures; Micronaut experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience with usability testing, analytics, or experimentation (A/B testing) workflows
Responsibilities
What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a skilled User Experience Engineer to help design, implement, and evolve user experiences for developer tooling built on Oracle Database technology. The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting intuitive, high quality interfaces, bridging design and engineering, and partnering closely with product managers and developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements and UX designs into high-quality, accessible user interfaces
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to shape requirements anditerate on solutions
- Build and maintain reusable UI components and interaction patterns to ensure consistency across theproduct
- Implement responsive, performant frontend experiences with attention to usability and visual polish
- Ensure accessibility and internationalization best practices are applied across the UI
- Validate UX with rapid prototyping, user feedback, and iterative improvement
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented frontend code
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and release processes

CA: Hiring Range in CAD from: $59,500 - $97,700 per year.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
