About the Role: Technical Program Manager - Security Applications
Oracle’s Global Physical Security (GPS) Systems Team is at the forefront of securing the corporation’s worldwide datacenter and facility footprint. They achieve this through advanced Physical Access and Identity Management (PIAM) technologies. The team is actively seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager – Security Applications to join their ranks.
This pivotal role involves the end-to-end strategic planning, coordination, and management of large-scale security application deployments within Oracle’s comprehensive global security portfolio. As the Technical Program Manager – Security Applications, you will be instrumental in ensuring all application projects successfully meet operational, compliance, and corporate objectives. This requires driving extensive collaboration across a diverse array of technical, security, and business stakeholders.
You will serve as the central authority for milestone planning, schedule management, and delivery assurance. This accountability includes meeting project deadlines, adhering to budget constraints, proactively managing risks, and guaranteeing the secure and successful launch of security applications. The ideal candidate will bring a robust combination of expertise in program management, security applications, enterprise IT integrations, and a proven track record in utilizing automation tools to streamline application processes. You will champion continuous process improvement initiatives, focusing on the digitization of manual workflows and the implementation of self-service capabilities. Building strong partnerships is key to aligning application strategy with Oracle’s broader business, technology, and regulatory goals.
Scope of Responsibility, Impact, and Supervision
As the owner of Oracle’s most significant security application deployments, you will establish direction, manage risk, and directly influence the timing, budget, integration, and compliance of crucial application initiatives. This role demands independent, strategic decision-making, with regular reporting to executive and cross-functional leaders. Your ability to automate, track, and standardize processes will be crucial in driving lasting improvements in project performance and solution adoption.
- Develop cross-functional alignment on application priorities, technical standards, and project execution plans.
- Lead implementation teams through complex scheduling, resource allocation, and escalation/mitigation activities.
- Oversee risk, budget, quality, and compliance for all assigned programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, communicate, and execute the roadmap for large application deployments across Oracle’s security portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment with business and compliance mandates.
- Plan, resource, and lead cross-functional teams through requirements, development, testing, deployment, and support of new or upgraded security applications.
- Implement and scale automation frameworks to accelerate application delivery and minimize manual intervention.
- Integrate security applications with enterprise IT and business systems via secure APIs, automating data exchanges and operational handoffs.
- Establish and maintain rigorous project tracking, metrics reporting, and status dashboards to provide transparency and early warning on project health.
- Identify, document, and drive the resolution of project risks, resource bottlenecks, compliance gaps, and technical challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, mapping, digitizing, and optimizing project delivery workflows in alignment with Oracle’s Lean and automation goals.
- Manage technical vendor relationships, contract performance, and lifecycle support to maximize business value and service quality.
- Prepare and deliver project briefings, risk/impact analysis, and post-launch reviews to technical and executive stakeholders.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in program management, application deployment, or technology delivery for complex, large-scale security or infrastructure projects in a global enterprise.
- Proven record of delivering enterprise-class security applications from business requirements through implementation, including vendor and contract management.
- Experience driving automation, workflow orchestration, and deployment methodologies to digitize and optimize project execution.
- Demonstrated skill in integrating security applications with other enterprise platforms (e.g., IAM, HRMS, cloud security, SaaS, or on-premise solutions) through API and workflow automation.
- Deep understanding of security, privacy, and compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.) and best practices for audit readiness.
- Excellent leadership, resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and communications abilities in a multi-team, matrixed environment.
