Overview of the Strategy Principal, Healthcare Data Analytics and Value-Based Care Role

The Strategy Principal, Healthcare Data Analytics and Value-Based Care, fulfills a critical dual leadership function at Oracle. This role involves guiding health systems through the modernization of their enterprise analytics strategies and enabling clients to achieve significant business transformation goals, particularly excelling in value-based care programs. You will actively partner with health system executives to drive the adoption of Oracle's advanced analytics platforms and solutions. This empowerment allows organizations to convert complex data into actionable insights that enhance clinical quality, boost operational efficiency, and secure success in payer contracts. Leveraging deep insights from customer engagements, industry sentiment, market trends, and competitive intelligence, this leader will establish strategic priorities and collaborate closely with business and product teams to provide expert perspectives that shape product design and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Analytics Modernization Strategy: Partner with key healthcare leaders, including CFOs, CQOs, CIOs, and Chief Population Health Officers, to develop and execute comprehensive strategies for integrating and optimizing analytics platforms across their entire enterprise, utilizing Oracle’s advanced analytics and data infrastructure.
  • Business Transformation Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to translate analytics insights into practical strategies for clinical, operational, and financial improvements, ensuring clients achieve measurable outcomes under value-based payment models.
  • Value-Based Care Enablement: Lead the deployment, adoption, and optimization of analytics solutions specifically designed to support value-based care initiatives, encompassing risk stratification, cost and quality measurement, gap-in-care identification, population health management, and performance tracking for payer contracts.
  • Advanced Analytics Platform Adoption: Guide comprehensive change management initiatives, user adoption programs, and best practices for effectively leveraging Oracle’s advanced analytics platform, including its embedded AI-enabled features, to help organizations maximize business value, improve decision-making processes, and sustain continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Feedback & Improvement: Systematically gather feedback from health system stakeholders and effectively communicate these insights and market requirements to Oracle Health product teams, thereby directly influencing the future evolution and design of Oracle’s analytics solutions.
  • Executive Engagement & Education: Facilitate impactful workshops, executive briefings, and collaborative sessions aimed at aligning analytics modernization initiatives with the overarching business objectives of Oracle's clients.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience of 10+ years in healthcare data analytics, population health, or value-based care, acquired either within health systems, payers, or leading consultancies.
  • Proven experience with enterprise healthcare analytics or business intelligence platforms (suchg as Oracle Health’s HealtheIntent, Millennium, or similar) and a strong grasp of U.S. healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7).
  • A solid track record of leading or supporting enterprise analytics modernization projects, including successful solution implementation and fostering client adoption.
  • Deep practical knowledge of various value-based care models, payer contracts, population health management strategies, and performance improvement methodologies within a U.S. healthcare context.
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate effectively across diverse disciplines and articulate complex analytics concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Direct experience utilizing other major analytics platforms, such as Oracle Analytics Cloud, and various other prominent data and analytics platforms.
  • An advanced degree (Master’s) in Data Science, Health Informatics, Health Economics, Public Health, or a related academic discipline.
  • A professional background in payer-provider collaboration, accountable care arrangements (e.g., MSSP, ACOs, commercial risk), or large-scale population health initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications in value-based care, population health analytics, or pertinent methodologies (e.g., HFMA, CPHQ, CPHDA).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, interoperability standards, and data governance principles specifically relevant to healthcare analytics within the U.S.
