Team and Role

In the Technical Strategy and Oversight (TSO) organization, the Sr Principal Engineer OCI will play a leadership role in a new Service Platform team. The team is building the Kilt platform to power OCI services, encompassing low-level execution runtime, application management and high-level workflows for change management. This role involves design, development, operations, design reviews, and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to build OCI Service Platform.
  • Lead architecture, design, and implementation of complex software systems.
  • Participate in design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
  • Challenge existing engineering assumptions and boundaries.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Java and hosted software platforms (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
  • Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and scalable workflow systems is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary range in the US from $96,800 to $251,600 per year, with bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
