Overview of the Sr. Manager, Network Operations & Incident Response Role
Oracle Health is actively seeking a highly skilled and resilient Sr. Manager, Network Operations & Incident Response. This pivotal role involves leading, integrating, and advancing network engineering capabilities across Oracle Health and the broader Oracle Industries ecosystem. Following the Oracle + Cerner acquisition, you will be instrumental in harmonizing operational processes, unifying diverse team cultures, and delivering reliable, secure, and compliant network services to commercial and government healthcare customers. You will provide hands-on guidance to teams, fostering trust, driving best practices, implementing cutting-edge automation, and ensuring data-driven continuous improvement.
This position demands strong leadership and decisive action within a complex, global, and highly regulated environment. You will empower engineering teams with clear priorities, professional development, and robust support, while personally managing executive, cross-unit, and customer-facing escalations. Serving as a central point for integrating new teams and legacy organizations, you will ensure consistent network operations, compliance, and high delivery quality across multiple business units within the Oracle Industries Global Industry Units (GIUs) ecosystem.
You will be accountable for defining operational direction, leading cultural and technological integration, and achieving measurable progress through thoughtful risk-taking, iterative enhancements, and adaptive leadership. Building strong relationships at all levels, you will foster buy-in in challenging cross-functional settings and champion both business needs and team growth. Success will be measured by your ability to enhance operational maturity, improve incident response, and unify performance and delivery outcomes for Oracle’s industry-leading healthcare and enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities

- Champion the adoption and optimization of automation frameworks, including Python and Ansible, to reduce manual effort, errors, and incident response times.

- Protect teams from unnecessary 'escalation overhead' to maintain focus on strategic projects and impactful operational work.
- Collaborate with leaders across Oracle Health, Cerner, and other Oracle Industries GIUs to harmonize priorities, resolve dependencies, and share operational learnings.
- Directly engage in post-incident review processes, ensuring actionable root cause analysis, implementation of preventative measures, and a culture of continuous learning.
- Own operational metrics, reporting, and accountability for SLAs, performance KPIs, and audit readiness, presenting clear assessments to executive leadership.
- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to identify, recruit, and retain top network engineering talent, building resilient, high-capacity teams.
- Promote psychological safety, open communication, and constructive debate, while modeling decisiveness and accountability.
- Navigate complex business environments and regulatory requirements, guiding your team to adapt to shifting priorities, new technologies, and evolving customer needs.
- Lead training, knowledge transfer, and capability building initiatives for operations teams supporting Oracle’s global, mission-critical networks.
- Identify and drive adoption of emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices in cloud, networking, automation, and operational management.
